In the Beginning, there was the One. The One was all-powerful, all-knowing, all-mighty. The One was ALL. The One created Time, then Space, and then Matter to fill this Void. The Matter grew, spun out of the grasp of the One, for in creation, the One sacrificed his sole claim to Power. The Matter grew in power and stature, gathering and changing Space and Time for its own needs, until it also gained Sentience.

Two Sentient Beings, between them holding the Power of all Creation, were destined to struggle. And, struggle they did! Eons passed as seconds, as the powers sparked and flared against each other. So evenly matched were the two forces, that they destroyed themselves trying to destroy the other.

The One and the Other disintegrated into Chaos. Eons passed, with no change in the Chaos, until out of it, two Orders emerged. One was Light, the Other was Darkness. They seperated, condensing further into the two basic components of our reality. Light coalesced into the Gods, who drew matter out of the Chaos, and used it to create the Worlds, the Stars, and the physical realities.

The Darkness coalesced into one Being, who reached further into the Chaos, and created a soul. The Being took that soul, imbued it into the matter, and called it John.

The Gods grew envious, and strove to create their own. They spun souls out of Light, out of their very essence, to create Humans, to counter and control the Dark Being's Creation.

They failed.
